The Columbia Academy Boys Cross Country team won their third consecutive MPSA/MAIS AA State Championship Monday, October 26. The Cougars took five of the top-6 spots and placed a total of six runners in the top-10. CA scored a near perfect 18 points in defeating second place Lamar School by 50 points.
Channing Stringer won the individual Championship in a school record time of 17:59. Jon Luke Watts finished 2nd with a personal record (PR) of 19:12. Adam Ham took 4th with a PR of 19:30, Isaac Hitt was 5th with 20:17, Jeremy Moree, 6th, with a PR 20:32, and Jamie Thweatt, 10th, with 21:22. All 6 runners were named to the MAIS All-State Team.
