The Glenbrook Apaches traveled to Natchitoches Thursday night to take on the Louisiana School of Math and Science.
The Apaches used a big second half to win going away, 63-29.
“They (LSM&S) came out to play in the first half,” Glenbrook head coach Chris Kourvelas said. “They played really well fundamentally.”
Glenbrook led 12-9 at the end of the first quarter and 30-16 at the half. The Apaches out-scored LSM&S 18-4 in the third and 15-9 in the fourth to take the win.
“We continued to play unselfish basketball,” Kourvelas said. “We kept looking down court for teammates as we ran our offense. We also played well defensivley all night.”
DeAngelo MacDonald and Colton Spurlock each scored 14 points to lead the Apaches and Thomas Beam had nine.
“Now we have a break before our next game,” Kourvelas said. “So we’ll use the practice time to improve on the things we need to improve on.”
The Apaches’ next game will be Monday, November 30 at Columbia Academy in Magnolia, Arkansas.
