Trinity wins South State A Championship

Dominating on both sides of the ball, Trinity Episcopal defeated Riverfield Academy of Rayville, LA on their home field, 38-11. For Trinity, is was their 7th South State A Championship since 1975. R.J. Fleming ran for 4 touchdowns; 33, 19, 4 and 3 yards. Kent King returned an interception for a 40 touchdown and Chas Moroney added a 35 yard field goal and 3 extra points. Tanner Cage scored a 2 point conversion on a pass from Givonni Dent. Freshman Tanner Cage intercepted a pass in the 4th quarter. Zach Marshall & Zach Wilson both recovered RA fumbles. Kent King, Matthew Rymer, Terrance Hunter & Dylan Pressgrove contributed to the 5 defensive plays in which Riverfield lost yards. Terrance Hunter's solo sack cost Riverfield 10 yards. Trinity advances to the State A Championship game vs Desoto on Friday, Nov. 27th at Millsaps College at 12:00 Noon.
