Presbyterian threatened to put the game out of reach early on as they raced out to a 9-0 lead just three minutes into the opening quarter. Hayden Eustachy score seven of the Bobcat’s first nine points and finished the first quarter with nine as Presbyterian took a 13-5 lead into the second quarter.

Chet Wilson’s 12 foot jumper at the 3:32 mark pulled the Pioneers to within three at 19-16 and a steal and basket by Nick Penn narrowed the margin to 19-18 with three minutes left in the half. That lead moved to 28-24 just 14 seconds later as Steven Swindle scored on a transition basket. Presbyterian regained the lead following a Parklane turnover at the 5:57 mark of the quarter as Hayden Eustachy nailed a 3-pointer from the wing to put the Bobcats up 29-28.
