The Hillcrest Christian Cougars battered Manchester 58-15 in North AA first round boy’s action at Leake Academy yesterday. Austin Hartzog and Chris Prather combined for 33 points as the top ranked Cougars advanced to the semi-finals where they will meet third ranked Marshall.
After a sluggish start in which Hillcrest held a slim 9-7 lead midway through the opening quarter the Cougars outscored Manchester 49-8 the rest of the way en-route to a dominating 58-15 win.

With the win Hillcrest moves to 27-3 overall while Manchester finishes their 2009/10 campaign with an 11-10 mark.
Hillcrest senior Austin Hartzog led all scorers with 19 points, Chris Prather added 14, Josh Rogers 8, Preston Haynes 5, Spencer Burroughs 4, Garrett Jones, Remarcus Stallings and Kevin Nunn all with 2 apiece and Christian Miller and Timothy Knowles had 1 each.
Jonathan Kamiski had 4 points for Manchester, Brett Morris and Devin Ledlow had 3 apiece, Steven Smith and Matt Peaster each had 2 and Will Stonestreet 1.

The Hillcrest/Marshall semi-final game is set for Friday at 6pm
