Apaches sweep C.A. Rebels

The Glenbrook Apaches swept a doubleheader with the Claiborne Academy Rebels Saturday by the scores of 14-4 and 8-0. The two wins improved the Apaches' record to 10-1 on the season.
In the first game, Glenbrook fell behind 4-0 before rallying and then scored the next 14 runs to win 14-4. Glenbrook pitcher Chandler Singleton got the win in game one, as he went all five innings, allowing four hits, five walks while striking out 11.
Singleton and Dave Parks each had a double, a single and two RBIs, and Preston Wise tripled, singled and drove in a run. Rudi Spurlock had two singles and a RBI and Cody Boyd and Blake Branch both had a single and a RBI. Kasey Kidd had a two-run double and Levi Reagan and Conner Copeland each had a double and a RBI. Caden Copeland also had a run batted in.
In game two, Cody Boyd had a dominating game on the mound as he went all five innings, allowing just one infield hit and one walk while striking out 10.
Parks had a pair of singles and Singleton had a two-run double. Spurlock walked and brought in a run and Reagan had three walks and a RBI. Wise had a pair of walks.
Glenbrook will look to improve their winning streak to 11 games as they host Columbia Christian today at 3 p.m.
