Trinity gave up a safety to ERA in the 1st quarter, but came back late in the 2nd quarter with Givonni Dent completing an 8 yard touchdown pass to Tip McKenzie. The 2 point pass attempt failed. The halftime score was Trinity 6, ER 2.

In the 3rd quarter, Kent King ran 1 yd for the touchdown and Dent connected with McKenzie for the 2 point conversion.
Late in the 4th quarter, Givonni Dent returned an interception 45 yards for Trinity's 3rd touchdown with Zach Marshall kicking the extra point. Then East Rankin completed a long pass, with a costly 15 yard Trinity penalty, Justin Laster threw 16 yards to Tyler Rhodes for a score with J.D. Houston kicking the PAT. Trinity had 146 yds rushing to ERA's -16 yds.
For passing, TE completed 8 of 16 with 0 interceptions for 128 yards.
ERA completed 13 of 26 with 1 interception for 121 yds.
For receptions, McKenzie had 2 for 18 yds, King with 3 for 29 yds, Jake Winston with 2 for 59 yds, and Daniel Dunaway with 1 for 22 yds. Dunaway, McKenzie and Carter Smith each recovered one ERA fumble. Trinity is now 2-0 for the young season and will host Centreville next Friday.
