Two time defending state champion Delta Academy has advanced to a familiar spot once again as the second ranked Lady Raiders overpowered Lamar Christian 59-27 behind Morgan Shook’s 35 points to advance to today's semi-finals..
Delta (34-9) jumped all over the Lady Lions in the early going as Morgan Shook accounted for 18 of Delta’s 23 first quarter points and the Lady Raider pressure defense forced five Lamar Christian turnovers in the first five minutes of the contest.
Lamar Christian managed to cut the deficit to thirteen points at 28-15 with two minutes left in the half but Delta’s Emma Haynes drained a 3-pointer from the corner to round out the scoring in the first half of play with Delta holding a 31-15 lead.

Delta ripped an 11-0 run to start the third quarter as Emma Haynes drilled two consecutive 3-pointers and Morgan Shook hit three free throws and converted on a transition basket to give the Lady Raiders their biggest lead at 42-15 three minutes into the quarter.
The defending champs then outscored Lamar Christian 8-4 to close out the third quarter with a commanding 50-19 lead en-route to a 59-27 win.
Shook led all scorers with 35 points for Delta, Emma Haynes added 15, Kendall Gurley had 4, Brandi Doss 3 and Emily Jamison 2.
Jessica Hobson led Lamar Christian (19-8) with 13 points, Madison Jones, Ashley Hopson and Madison Mault each had 4 and Rachel Engle 2.
Delta will take on third ranked Tri-County today at 2:15.
