Tri-County Academy tailback Ryan Cothern is the Gateway Tire &
Service Center Player of the Week. The 5' 9" 175 lb. sophomore rushed for 228
yards on 31 carries and 3 touchdowns in a 26-10 playoff win over Benton. Cothern has rushed for 2,072 yards on the season and has scored 33 touchdowns to lead the defending Class A champions.
"Ryan had a great game against a very tough opponent last Friday night," said Tri-County head coach David Blount. "It was one of his better all-around games and he broke alot of tackles and got some really tough yards against Benton. He really came through for us."
Cothern will lead Tri-County this Friday as the Rebels face second ranked WCCA for the Class A State Championship.
