Marshall hammers Oak Hill

Top ranked and two time defending state champion Marshall ran out to a 19-4 first quarter lead and cruised to a 51-29 win over tenth ranked Oak Hill in West Point on Saturday evening.
Peyton Lewis had a game high 17 points and Dakota Dailey added 11 as Marshall improved to 6-0 on the season.
Lewis drilled a 3-pointer from the wing with 1:14 remaining in the opening quarter to give the Patriots an 18-2 lead and Marshall would take a 34-12 lead into intermission.
Marshall started the third quarter with a 10-3 run sparked by two 3-pointers from Peyton Lewis and one from Brad Bennett to push the lead to 44-15 at the 5:08 mark. The Patriots closed out the quarter with a 7-2 run to take their biggest lead of the game at 51-19.

Peyton Lewis led all scorers with 17 points, Dakota Dailey added 11, Devonte Smith 8, Brad Bennett 6, Matt Rappa 4 and Randy Love 2.
JJ Bridges led Oak Hill (5-3) with 13 points.
Marshall will host Carroll next Tuesday in a District 1-AA opener while Oak Hill entertains Immanuel in the District 2-AA opener for both.
