Note: The following is a statement sent to Southern Sports & Travel from Russell Christian Academy.

During the past nine years, Russell Christian Academy's (RCA) membership with the Mississippi Association of Independent Schools (MAIS) has been nothing short of exceptional.

However, RCA has decided to go with the CEO model when it comes to the organizational chart of our Christian school. RCA felt that MAIS does not offer us the best method when it comes to implementing the CEO model for our school. And RCA is disappointed a compromise or resolution with the MAIS CEO guidelines could not be reached. RCA is proud to have been part of such an outstanding association and we wish the MAIS only the best in future endeavors.

This is notification that RCA is leaving the MAIS on May 31, 2013. RCA will be joining the Alabama Independent School Association (AISA) for the 2013-2014 school year. RCA will still be accredited by AdvancedEd. RCA parents will not notice any difference in the day-to-day operations at RCA. RCA will still be totally committed to academic excellence and the spiritual growth and development of our students.
