Glenbrook quarterback Regan Edwards is the Week Twelve Gateway Tire & Service Center Player of the Week.
The 6' 1", 170 lb. senior led Class AA fourth ranked Glenbrook to a 30-21 playoff road win over seventh ranked Adams Christian on Friday night by going 26/36 for 359 yards and 4 touchdowns passing and rushing for 124 yards on 18 carries and a touchdown.
"Regan is the heart and soul of our offense," said Glenbrook head coach Greg Tibbett. "We are a pass first offense and his talents allow us to be very successful in our scheme. In the second half of our season and this playoff run, he has been outstanding. His ability to run the ball from our empty sets has made our offense even more dangerous. In our last 4 games he has thrown for over 300 yards a game and rushed for over 100 a game. We hope that his talent and leadership will continue to carry us in the playoffs."
Edwards has passed for over 3900 yards and 47 touchdowns on the season. He also has 7 rushing touchdowns and leads the MAIS with 54 touchdowns.
Glenbrook has advanced to the semi-final round of the playoffs, they will face top ranked Centreville on the road this Friday night.
