Columbia standout signs with William CareyColumbia Academy’s standout Cross Country and Track distance runner Channing Stringer has signed a scholarship to run Cross Country at William Carey University. Stringer is a 3-time All-MAIS Cross Country runner. He won the individual Cross Country State Championship in leading CA to its third straight AA State Championship this season. Stringer posted the overall fastest time at the State meet.
Stringer helped lead the CA Track Team to its first AA State Championship this season by winning the 1600 and 3200 meter runs. His winning time of 10:45.78 in the 3200 was the fastest time of any class at the meet.
Channing is the first scholarship signee for the newly formed Cross Country program at William Carey.
