Leake pummels MarshallJenny Wilbanks continued her dominating play as the Leake senior went off for 34 points in a 51-27 win over Marshall. The top ranked Rebelettes jumped out to a quick 8-0 lead while holding Marshall to one free throw in the opening quarter and the Lady Patriots had no answer for Wilbanks who scored 12 of Leake’s 16 first quarter points.
Wilbanks scored 11 second quarter points to give Leake a 28-10 halftime advantage.
Leake went on a 10-0 run to start the final quarter and extended their lead to 45-19 en-route to a 51-27 win to push their season mark to 21-0.
Anna Nowell added 7 points for the Class AA defending champions, Hannah Peoples and Shelby Howard had 4 each and Shelbi Horn 2.
Callie Clanton led Marshall (11-7) with 15 points, Kelsey Shaw and Elizabeth Skelton had 5 each and Megan Anderson 2.
