Calling them like I see them..............
It has been disclosed that three former college football players are the chief plaintiffs in a class action lawsuit filed in federal court on Tuesday in Chattanooga, Tenn. against the NCAA.
The suit charges the NCAA failed to educate players and disclose the risks of concussions and showed negligence and reckless endangerment.
Nine different law firms are part of the case.
This follows the recent suit brought against the NFL by former players who argued the same thing and agreed to a 765 million settlement.
In the months of discussion throughout the media analysts were more than eager to offer up their remedies in "making the game safer" for current players but the elephant in the room still stands ignored.
The premise that a large contributor to concussions is due to today's players being bigger, stronger and faster. That is obvious, but are they bigger, stronger and faster due to genetics, technological advances in  training methods or some other method that remains taboo for media, the NFL and NCAA to speak of?
Both the NFL and the NFL Player's Association are equal partners in not allowing language in the recent collective bargaining agreement to allow HGH testing.
One can be sure of the fact that the recent suit against the NCAA is just a domino effect that will ultimately reach high school football at the state levels.
The sharks are in the waters and they'll eventually make their way into local high schools across the country, including the MAIS.
Want to make the game safer?
Test and ban HGH but not only at the NFL and college levels. It's not uncommon to see 325 lb. high school juniors and seniors on the gridiron on Friday nights when just twenty years ago it was rare.
The elephant in the room will eventually roll over and demand attention and when that happens the game will be safer.
.
See ya somewhere............
