Week Five Recap
Leake 17 Tri-County 7
Taylor Nazary rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown and JF Sisson added 86 yards and a score to lead 10th ranked Leake past 2nd ranked Tri-County in Flora.
Leake halted Tri-County’s 31 game win streak and held junior tailback Ryan Cothern to 78 yards rushing.
Leake improves to 3-2 and 2-0 in district play. The Rebels will travel to Canton next week.
Tri-County falls to 4-1 and 1-1 and will host Central Hinds next.
Washington 33 Lee (MS) 6
The Washington Generals defeated the Lee Colts 33-6 Friday night to move to 4-0 on the season. Walker Coleman and Landon Zepponi each scored a pair of touchdowns and Hauff Carpenter added another to help lead the Generals to their fourth consecutive victory of the season. 
Zepponi led all rushers with 139 yards on 16 carries. Roman Fratesi had another good night, rushing 17 times for 91 yards. Walker Coleman carried 7 times for 68 yards to round out the leading rushers for the Generals. 
Andrew Farmer, Ben Barr, Michael Bruton, and Colton Haynes had good nights for the Generals defensively. 
The Generals will enjoy an open date next Friday before returning to conference play at Heritage in two weeks.
Marshall 49 West Memphis 13
Dakota Dailey rushed for 183 yards and 3 touchdowns and passed for 140 yards and 2 touchdowns as 2nd ranked Marshall hammered West Memphis on the road Friday night.
Junior tailback Devin McGregor added 77 yards on 16 carries and 2 touchdowns and wide-out Colt Lindsey had 2 receptions for 77 yards and a touchdown.
Hunter Barringer led the Patriot defense with 13 tackles.
Marshall improved to 4-1 and 2-0 in district action while West Memphis falls to 2-3 and 1-1.
Marshall travels to Fayette next week.
West Memphis heads to Glenbrook.
North Delta 34 Bayou 12
Austin Redgrave ran for 106 yards and scored twice to propel North Delta to a 34-12 home win over Bayou.
Bailey Sullivant added 99 yards and a touchdown on the ground and Bradley Booth returned a blocked punt for a score as North Delta improved to 3-2 and 2-0 in district.
North Delta will travel to SBEC next week while Bayou (1-4 & 0-2) visits Kirk.
Benton 48 Greenville Christian 0
Benton tailback Kent Manor kept up his torrid pace by rushing for 208 yards on 10 carries and 4 touchdowns as 4th ranked Benton improved to 4-1.
Barrett Whitworth added 55 yards and a score on the ground and led the defense with 7 tackles, a sack and a fumble recovery.
Benton heads to Central Holmes next.
Greenville Christian (1-4) hosts Immanuel Christian.
Heritage 33 Hillcrest 0
The Heritage Patriots improved to 4-1 with a 33-0 shutout of Hillcrest on the road Friday night.
Parker Short rushed for 139 yards and Mark Thatcher had an 80 yard kick-off return for a touchdown and a 65 interception return for another.
Heritage hosts Oak Hill next while Hillcrest (1-4) is idle.
Centreville 37 Ben’s Ford 0
Junior quarterback Casey Haygood passed for 3 touchdowns and rushed for another in limited action as 5th ranked Centreville shut out Ben’s Ford in Bogalusa on Friday night.
Tyler Caston had 3 receptions for 52 yards, including a 42 yard touchdown, and Mark Curry added a 28 yard run for a score as Centreville moved to 4-1 and 1-0 in district play.
Centreville will host 8th ranked Silliman in a huge district battle next Friday night.
Ben’s Ford (2-3 & 0-1) hosts Heidelberg.
Oak Forest 41 Columbia 6
Tyler Hasson and Sam Bourgeois each rushed for 91 yards to lead Oak Forest to a 41-6 blowout road win over Columbia.
Bourgeois scored 3 touchdowns and Hasson added another as the Yellow Jackets racked up 247 yards on the ground and the Oak Forest defense picked off three Wiley Cleland passes.
Oak Forest improves to 3-2 and will travel to Parklane next while Columbia falls to 3-2 and is idle next week.
Brookhaven 43 ASC 8
Brookhaven rushed for 344 yards led by Connor Dorman’s 138 on 6 carries and 2 touchdowns as the Cougars improved to 2-3 and 2-0 in district with a 43-8 home win.
Brookhaven led 29-0 after the first quarter.
The Cougars will host East Rankin next while ASC (1-4) entertains Park Place.
Magnolia Heights 20 Starkville 8
Starkville got out to a 2-0 lead early in the opening quarter but Travis Beam and David Herrington would combine for 259 rushing yards and 2 scores to propel Magnolia Heights to a 20-8 win over Starkville in Senatobia on Friday night.
Beam ran for 159 yards on 27 carries and a touchdown and Herrington notched 100 yards on 9 carries and a score as Magnolia Heights improved to 4-1.
The Chiefs host MRA next week while Starkville (2-3) hosts Winston.
Oak Hill 26 Newton 20
Oak Hill quarterback Riley Pierce went 4/8 for 145 yards and 2 touchdowns to lead Oak Hill past Newton 26-20 on the road.
Drew Riley rushed for 91 yards on 17 carries and 2 touchdowns and John Willis Stevens added 55 rushing yards as Oak Hill improved to 3-2 and will travel to Heritage next week.
Newton slips to 3-2 and will visit Sylva Bay.
