AA South Baseball

Tuesday, March 10th
#1 Central Private improved to 12-0 and 3-0 in district play with a 10-0 shutout of #4 Centreville. The Tigers fell to 6-3 and 0-1.
Gage Wilkinson picked up the win on the mound and also went yard at the plate, and Thomas Bourgeois contributed with a two run home run.
Next up for the Rebels will be a road trip to Centreville for a double-header on Friday.

#2 Simpson remained undefeated at 8-0 with a 10-0 district win over Prentiss. Casey Hunt (3-0) was the winning pitcher. Lee Mashburn and Steven Capistran each had doubles at the plate.
Simpson will travel to Prentiss on Thursday.

Adams over River Oaks 14-9 with Colin Dollar the winning pitcher. ACCS goes to 5-3 overall and 1-0 in district 3AA play while River Oaks slips to 4-2 and 0-1. Freshman Christopher Perry went 3-5 with 2 doubles and 5 RBI's to lead Adams.
Next up for both squads is a Friday double-header at River Oaks.

#5 Brookhaven got a 7-2 home win over Columbia. Brookhaven improves to 5-2 while Columbia drops to 3-3. Brookhaven travels to Columbia for a double-header on Thursday. (No stats available)

Riverfield over Prairie View 2-1. The Raiders move to 6-2-1 overall and 1-0 in district 3AA play while PVA falls to 1-6 and 0-1. Corbin Cater picked up the win for Riverfield. Prairie View's Hunter Smith tagged a home run for the Spartans. Riverfield has won 5 of their last 6 games and will travel to Prairie View on Friday for a double-header. Prairie View will be at Franklin on Thursday.

The Trinity Saints picked up their third win of the season with a dominating 25-8 win at Amite School Center. Wells Middleton earned the win on the mound and went 3-4 from the plate, including a grand slam and a double. Givonni Dent went 4-4, drew a walk, and scored 5 runs, and Daniel Dunaway hit a 3 run home run.
For ASC Corey Varnado hit a 2 run home run and Cole Wells went 2-4 from the plate.
Trinity (3-4) is scheduled to participate in the Vidalia Tournament Thursday thru Saturday.
ASC (0-6) will host WCCA on Thursday.
