The Class AAA Division II Championship series gets underway on Tuesday in Senatobia as second ranked Magnolia Heights (30-5-1) takes on fifth ranked Starkville (23-9). The series will resume from Starkville on Saturday. This will be the first meeting of the two top five squads this season.
The Chiefs of Magnolia Heights are coached by Chris McMinn while the Starkville Vols are directed by Neal Henry.
Expected starters on the mound will be two southpaws, Hunter Bolin of Starkville and Jackson Pitts of Magnolia Heights.
