The second ranked Brookhaven Lady Cougars earned a tough 43-41 semi-final win over eighth ranked Prairie View yesterday to advance to the South AA State title game against Bowling Green. While the win moved Brookhaven’s season mark to 27-4 it came at a cost as junior center Anna Mangold suffered an ankle injury with two minutes left in the second quarter and didn’t return. Sophomore Terah Winborne drained a 17 foot baseline jumper with 9 seconds remaining for the game winner. (Above) Laura Beth Wright (#21) of Brookhaven with a jumper in the paint
